Simply Sarah's Homemade Greeting Cards

Hey All! My name is Sarah. I have been stationed here with my husband for 2 years. I am new to crafting as well as this vast crafting world. I started making my cards as a way to make money for the hobby I really wanted to pursue, photography. With one income the $900 camera I wanted was just a little out of reach. So I picked a “craft” to do on the side to save for my camera. Well needless to say my camera dreams have faded away because I actually enjoy my craft much more than I ever enjoyed taking photos… as glamorous as photography seemed to me.

So here I am mother of 2 (3 ½ and 10mo) and enjoying, most, every minute of it. I’d be lying if I said everything always went perfectly smooth. I love them with all I have but mothering can be insane, for lack of a better word. I also have made it a personal goal to do well in my card making to give my husband another reason to be proud to call me his wife.

Out of this whole experience I am most grateful for having the chance to meet Amanda. Like most of you know it’s hard to find a good friend with all this moving we do. Even if the entire craft fair is a flop I’ll be glad to have gotten to know Amanda and enjoyed all the fun we have had coordinating this thing!

Tina's Paper Crafts

Have you ever heard of the art of quilling? Before meeting Tina I had no idea myself. This form of art is absolutely wonderful. Here is what I have come to learn.....

Quilling involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.

If you would like to purchase a Quilling Creations please contact Tina at tina_alex@hotmail.com

Dana from Simply Emma Boutique

How did you get started making your items?:

I have three wonderful kids, which two of them are girls who LOVE to wear jewelry. My oldest daughter is the one who actually got me into this. So, it is her fault! I first started out in jewelry and then went off into the hair clippies and I do some sewing on the side also.

How long have you been crafting?:

I have been designing jewelry/hair clippies for about 3 years now.

What was your most memorable creations?:

I can't think of anything memorable at the moment, but my brain is always thinking about new creations.

Do you have photos you would like to share:

What is your inspiration?:
My inspiration for doing this would be my kids. It is important to me to stay at home with them and to let them know I am always there for them.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?:

Where will I be 5 years from now...Uncle Sam knows, but I hope that I am still designing and creating for all of those girlie girls out there that need their jewelry and clippies.
